The Heart of My Teaching

My journey with the piano was not always easy. Reflecting on my own childhood lessons, I remember the challenges and the "uneasy tasks" that come with mastering an instrument. This personal history is why I founded AMuse Piano Studio in 2024.

To me, teaching is a way to nurture the "inner child" in every student. I believe in the philosophy of "More Haste, Less Speed." Like the race between the rabbit and the turtle, every student has their own pace. I often see students who lack a firm foundation because they were rushed. My mission is to ensure we do not "pull up seedlings to help them grow," but instead build a consistent, effective practice habit that allows a student to truly internalize their craft.

We understand the full spectrum of the learning journey: the struggles and anxiety, but also the immense contentment and excitement of a breakthrough.

Professional Background

Born and raised in Hong Kong, I am a classically trained pianist and a graduate of the Academy of Music at Hong Kong Baptist University, where I earned my B.A. (Hons) in Music, majoring in Piano.

My artistic development was shaped under the guidance of Mr. Hung Chong, with advanced coaching in performance and chamber recitals from Professor Yoonie Han and Dr. Kawai Chan. My curiosity for early music led me to study harpsichord and pedagogy under Professor David Chung. Additionally, my 10+ years of choral experience allows me to bring a unique focus on vocal musicality and expressive phrasing to the keyboard.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.A. (Hons) in Music, Hong Kong Baptist University (Piano Major)

  • Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) in Piano Performance

  • ABRSM Grade 8 Theory

  • 10+ Years Experience in teaching and professional piano accompaniment

A Proven Track Record

Since my youth, I have been an active accompanist for school choirs and orchestras, participating extensively in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival (HKSMF). Today, my students carry on this legacy of excellence, consistently achieving top placements in the HKSMF and earning Distinction awards in their examinations.
